Downtown Discussion Group

This year the group will focus on Harvard philosophy professor, Michael Sandel's brilliant work, "Justice: What's the Right Thing to do?" This book "relates the big questions of political philosophy to the most vexing issues of our time." (taking from the jacket) This book confronts such contemporary questions as immigration, religion in politics as well as personal ethical decision making. All newcomers are welcome.

For next year (5774) we will read An Introduction to Modern Jewish Thinkers:  From Spinoza to Solveitcik, Alan T. Levenson

Here is the link to the Michael Sandel lectures that form the core of his book.
