History
Founded by Adrienne Umansky and Judith Capen when the Temple's building was under construction, Micah Cooks' first project was to raise money for the then-unfunded kitchen in our new building. It has grown to several dozen individuals who volunteer to shop, cook and bake for Temple events--in return the Temple receives the profits from the Cooks services which are used for special projects that otherwise couldn't be funded. To date, the Cooks have catered more than 50 life-cycle events and grossed over $100,000.
