Songbirds, Musicians Wanted: Tuneful Members Invited to Perform

Do you love to sing? Do you want to be part of a caring community of people who love to sing? Have you ever dreamed of contributing to the fabulous music at Temple Micah? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then you are cordially invited to join the Temple Micah Choir.

Since the High Holidays are "late" this year (actually, they are right on time, according to the Jewish calendar), this would be an ideal year to join the choir. During September, we rehearse Tuesday and Thursday evenings to prepare for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, which are in October this year. During the rest of the year, we rehearse two Thursday evenings a month, and we sing at all b'nai mitzvah services. About two or three times a year, the choir participates in a special program, such as Shabbat Shira or a "choir share" with another synagogue.

Singing in the Temple Micah Choir is an enriching and rewarding experience. If you've ever had a notion to join us, this fall would be a wonderful opportunity to do so. We always welcome new members.

Calling all instrumentalists! This year, we are expanding opportunities for musicians of all sorts to add to the musical offerings at Temple Micah. I am compiling a list of instrumentalists.

If you would like to be added to our ranks of musicians or to join the choir, please e-mail me.
