End of School Year

May 2004

It's hard to believe that the school year has already come to an end. There are so many things for us to be proud of, from the success of The Babylon Project to the record-breaking family participation in Shabbat School, and of course all of the wonderful things our students have done in their Religious School classes. I want to thank our teachers, who work hard every day to fulfill the commandment of passing Judaism on to our children. I also want to thank the Religious School parents for the deep commitment they have made to their children's Jewish education.

Our school year will officially come to a close on May 9.

An Open House for prospective members and school families will be held with Shabbat services on Friday, May 21. If you know of anyone looking for a congregation and religious school program, please encourage them to join us for services that evening at 6:30 pm (an oneg precedes the service at 6:00 pm) to learn more about Temple Micah.

We finish out the school year with some pretty impressive numbers. There are 195 students enrolled in our Sunday Religious School program and 82 in our Mid-Week Hebrew Program. We have 23 teachers in our school, a number of whom are volunteers from the Temple Micah community. We'd love to have even more volunteers, so if you'd like to join us on Sunday mornings next year, please contact me for more information.
