Wednesday, June 12, 12:00 pm.   Lunch and Learn with Ori Nir on the recent elections in Israel at Temple Micah - Atrium.   Nir was Washington Bureau Chief, West Bank Correspondent, and Israeli-Arab Affairs Correspondent at Haaretz for 16 years. He subsequently served as Washington Bureau Chief for the Forward. A Jerusalem native, Nir has a Master's degree in journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern history and Arabic literature from Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He currently is the spokesperson for Americans for Peace Now, the sister organization of Shalom Achshav, Israel's preeminent peace movement. Register to attend by June 9th. A light lunch of soup, salad, and sweets at a cost of $5 precedes the speaker. We will find a ride for you if you indicate that you need one.
