Hineni

When God called to Abraham, he answered, "Hineni—Here I am." Helping members in times of need.

Hineni, under the leadership of a coordinating committee, is here to reach out to Temple Micah members.  We organize meal deliveries -- to members in difficult circumstances, and now, we want to include families in the first week of life with a newborn child.

We are also  performing the function of the former "Neighbors in Need" committee.  We match volunteers from the congregation with members who may need a ride to services or the doctor, an outing to the lunch bunch, a friendly visit, or simply a phone call. The help can be short or longer term.

Both efforts under the Hineni banner offer rewards—for those who graciously accept help as well as those who happily perform this mitzvah.

If you would like to be part of Hineni—either requesting help or offering to volunteer for meals or otherwise—please contact hineni. If you prefer, call the Temple office and speak with Susie Blumenthal.
