Child Care for High Holy Days

For daytime services only

Where and When

Temple Micah has contracted with independent, professional childcare providers to provide full child care for younger children (3rd grade and under) during the day services only. This childcare will be held at MMUMC (where services are conducted for all ages) and not at Temple Micah. The childcare company provides activities and snacks, but not lunch,  during Rosh Hashanah morning and Yom Kippur morning services, from 9:30 AM until the services end (approximately 1:30 pm)

Pre-Registration

  • The deadline for registration and payment is August 15. There will be no "walk-ins" permitted to protect the safety of the children and to assure that sufficient helpers and snacks are available for children who attend.
  • To pre-register, please fill out the online ticket request form.  You may also email or phone the TM Office (202-342-9175). No money will be handled on the holidays.

Instructions

Parents of infants should bring all equipment, diapers, food, etc., and leave written instructions with the sitters on feeding and nap schedules. Lunch is NOT provided; if you care to pack a lunch for your child please label it carefully.

Fees

This service is not subsidized by the Temple--all money is paid directly to the professional company.

  • For Rosh Hashanah morning: $24 per child
  • For Yom Kippur morning: $24 per child
  • Late fee (registration after August 15: $10 per child
