As we anticipate Teddy’s retirement with mixed feelings of gratitude, sadness and well wishes for him and his family, we are making plans to honor him at our Friday evening online Shabbat service on June 11. At this service we will have a chance to recount Teddy’s great contributions to our Micah community dating back to 1985 when he first joined us. Teddy has been a teacher, friend and role model in every sense of the word.
To that end we are planning for a special evening for him. This is where you come in. We would like to ask you to send us any stories or special memories of Teddy, using this Google form by April 30. Please also send along any photos that you might have of Teddy from holiday celebrations, family life-cycle moments or other occasions that we might use as we plan this special evening. Please email your photos to WeLoveTeddy@TempleMicah.org.
As part of the service we would also like to hear from anyone who has sung in our religious school choir under Teddy’s leadership. If you were a part of our youth choir in any era, please contact Debra Winter by April 12 for more information.
Even as we are planning this virtual send off, please know that once we are live and in-person post-pandemic we will once again gather and celebrate Teddy’s illustrious career with us.
In the meantime, save the date for June 11.
