Holocaust Education Without Survivors

Until very recently, the field of Holocaust Education has relied heavily on survivor testimony and on the ability to find opportunities for school children to meet with survivors. Now, even those survivors who were children during the Holocaust are quite elderly and many are unable to continue speaking publicly.
Our November 2021 Lunch and Learn session, presented by Temple Micah’s Director of Education Sharon Tash, explores several ways in which organizations and educational institutions are responding to this situation through the use of technology (including social media), innovative storytelling, and art in order to keep this history relevant and immediate for the students of today.
