Debra Winter

Director of Spiritual Arts

Debra Winter joined our staff in the summer of 2019, settling in DC after a decade spent traveling the US as a freelance musician in the Jewish community. An alumna of URJ Camp Harlam, Debra is a lover of all things camp, and has worked 15 collective summers leading and teaching music at camps across the country from Warwick, NY to Angelus Oaks, CA. Debra has served on the faculty of Hava Nashira, LEV: Lift Every Voice, and NFTY’s Nashir Songleader Training Conferences. She has also served as the Associate Music Director for the URJ’s Biennial conference. When she’s not at work, you might spot Debra on the lawn at Wolf Trap, the trails of Shenandoah, or the streets of DC with Frisco, her 4-year-old rescue pup.
