I started working at Temple Micah in October of 2021 and after meeting the staff and engaging more with the community at this place I just couldn’t help but love the place. Originally I’m from Bolivia and have been living in the U.S. since 2020. I have completed a course on community leadership and civics in the Center of Politics in the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and I also have a background in Finance as I am currently a student on an undergraduate program.

I help in Temple Micah with some of the building operations and I am part of the maintenance team in charge of taking care of the building as best we can, and people in the building can tell that I enjoy my time in Temple Micah very much. My favorite place at the temple is the Sanctuary and the upstairs library where you could always catch me with a good read or on the piano playing some tunes. I love playing and studying chess and I rarely miss a gym workout in the mornings, you can always find me near Takoma Station in DC where I go to train in Japanese and Thai martial arts, which is a big part of my everyday life.
