Lunch and Learn with Jean Nordhaus – “The Porcelain Apes of Moses Mendelsohn”

Jean Nordhaus has published seven volumes of poetry including The Porcelain Apes of Moses Mendelssohn which was published in November, 2002. Her collection, Innocence, won the Charles B. Wheeler Prize from The Ohio State University Press.

Jean is a native of Baltimore, studied philosophy at Barnard College, and received her doctorate in modern German Literature from Yale University. She served as poetry coordinator at the Folger Shakespeare Library, President of Washington Writers’ Publishing House, and as Review Editor of Poet Lore, the oldest continuously published poetry magazine in the U.S. Jean has been a member of Temple Micah since October 2018.
