DESCRIPTION:Micah member Jean Nordhaus will speak about Moses Mendelssohn\,
  a world-famous philosopher in the eighteenth century whose work and spiri
 t helped smooth the road to\nReform Judaism. She will touch on the book of
  poetry that she wrote about Mendelssohn’s life journey\, “The Porcela
 in Apes of Moses Mendelssohn.”\n\nRegister\nAbout the Speaker\nJean Nord
 haus was born in Baltimore\, Maryland\, studied philosophy at Barnard Coll
 ege\, and received her doctorate in modern German literature from Yale Uni
 versity. She has published six volumes of poetry\, two chapbooks\, and her
  poems have appeared in many journals\, including American Poetry Review\,
  The Hudson Review\, The New Republic\, Ploughshares\, Poet Lore\, Poetry\
 , Prairie Schooner\, Best American Poetry 2000\, and the 2007 Pushcart Pri
 ze Anthology. In addition\, she has published numerous articles\, essays\,
  and dance reviews in the&nbsp\;Washington Post\, the&nbsp\;Washington Rev
 iew\, Poet Lore\, and the&nbsp\;PSA Bulletin.\n\nRegister&nbsp\;before 5 p
