Lunch and Learn: “Renoir’s Three Sisters and Nazi Art Theft”

Join us for a fascinating Lunch & Learn with Micah member Dr. Helen Schwartz. Dr. Schwartz has researched the production and later disappearance of two Renoir paintings commissioned by a wealthy Jewish Belgian banker. Helen will tell the stories of the paintings and the people with an excerpt from her upcoming historical suspense novel.

Dr. Schwartz served as an English professor at Oakland University in Michigan and Indiana University in Indianapolis. She published a writing textbook, Interactive Writing, an award winning software program, and numerous articles. She has received two federal grants for computer-aided instruction and was the recipient of two Fulbright Scholarships. Helen Schwartz has been a member of Temple Micah for five years.
