DESCRIPTION:\n\nRegister\n\nThe frame drum is one of the oldest percussion 
 instruments in the world and deeply rooted in the musical cultures of the 
 Middle East and North Africa. In this Middle Eastern Percussion Workshop\,
  we will meet monthly to learn the fundamental techniques and dive&nbsp\;i
 nto traditional rhythms that echo through centuries of celebration\, ritua
 l\, and storytelling. This is an opportunity to connect with part of a mus
 ical tradition that has brought people together across generations and cul
 tures.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nThis class is led by Temple Micah’s Music
  Director\,&nbsp\;Philip Mayer. It meets monthly on the third Thursday of 
 the month (unless otherwise specified) at 7 p.m. at Temple Micah.\n\nWATCH
 :&nbsp\;Philip Mayer on the frame drum\, with Ahmed Alshaiba and Tamer Pin
 arbasi\n\n\nPurchasing a Frame Drum\nThere is no cost to register\; howeve
 r\, participants are highly encouraged to purchase a frame drum for use in
  this class.&nbsp\;\n\nWe recommend these options\, 14-20″ diameter (16
 ″ is a great starting point):\n\n1.&nbsp\;Lower-end frame drum&nbsp\;(mo
 st affordable option)\n\n2.&nbsp\;Medium-end frame drum\n\n3.&nbsp\;High-e
 nd/professional frame drum\n\nIf cost is an issue\, please&nbsp\;reach out
