SUMMARY:Middle Eastern Percussion Workshop
DESCRIPTION:\n\nRegister\n\nThe frame drum is one of the oldest percussion 
 instruments in the world and deeply rooted in the musical cultures of the 
 Middle East and North Africa. In this Middle Eastern Percussion Workshop\,
  we will meet monthly to learn the fundamental techniques and dive&nbsp\;i
 nto traditional rhythms that echo through centuries of celebration\, ritua
 l\, and storytelling. This is an opportunity to connect with part of a mus
 ical tradition that has brought people together across generations and cul
 tures.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n\nThis class is led by Temple Micah’s Music Direct
 or\,&nbsp\;Philip Mayer. It meets monthly on the third Thursday of the mon
 th (unless otherwise specified) at 7 p.m. at Temple Micah.\n\nWATCH:&nbsp\

 n\n\nPurchasing a Frame Drum\nThere is no cost to register\; however\, par
 ticipants are highly encouraged to purchase a frame drum for use in this c
 lass.&nbsp\;\n\nWe recommend these options\, 14-20″ diameter (16″ is a
  great starting point):\n\n1.&nbsp\;Lower-end frame drum&nbsp\;(most affor
 dable option)\n\n2.&nbsp\;Medium-end frame drum\n\n3.&nbsp\;High-end/profe
