SUMMARY:October 7 Memorial Service
DESCRIPTION:October 7\, 2023 will forever be remembered as a tragic day in 
 Jewish history. The joy of dancing on Simchat Torah gave way to screams of
  panic\, fear and death in the south of Israel. We learned of the safe roo
 ms that were not safe enough\, the lives lost\, and the hostages taken. We
  read of the unspeakable violence\, all on October 7. We wept. We weep sti
 ll. We wept also\, at the sacrifice and heroism that in our sadness\, we d
 are not forget.\n\nWe will gather on&nbsp\;October 7 at 6:30 p.m.&nbsp\;as
  a Micah community to memorialize the tragedy that Israel suffered this da
 y. We know that there are other observances and events in our wider commun
 ity on this day and we understand that some of you will choose to particip
 ate in them. We are a synagogue that cherishes the prayer life we offer. W
 e therefore seek to honor this singularly sacred day liturgically\, commun
 ally\, together.\n\nWe hope many of you will be with us.\n\n\n\nThis servi
 ce will take place both in person and on Zoom. No registration is required
