DESCRIPTION:Healing Across the Divides (HATD) supports community groups tha
 t promote the health of marginalized Israelis and all Palestinians. It enc
 ourages community group interaction where possible in an effort to further
  mutual understanding. HATD has funded more than 50 Israeli and Palestinia
 n community groups\, and measurably improved the lives of over 200\,000 ma
 rginalized Israelis and Palestinians.\n\nAll are welcome\; no advance regi
 stration is required to attend.\n\nPlease note: this program will take pla
 ce in-person only at Temple Micah\; no online option will be available. \n
 \nParking in the lot will be limited\; public transportation\, street park
 ing\, or ridesharing is encouraged.&nbsp\;\nAbout the Speaker\nAs founder 
 and CEO\, Norbert Goldfield\, MD has focused for more than 20 years on pea
 ce-building through health in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Dr. Goldfi
 eld also worked for 30 years as medical director for a research group deve
 loping tools linking payment for health care services to improved health c
 are outcomes. Dr. Goldfield has published more than 100 book and articles.
  He is also a practicing internist at a community health center.\n\nDr. Go
 ldfield has served on a number of local and national non-profit boards (in
 cluding Congregation B'nai Israel\, where he served as president\, and Ben
 d the Arc). He has taught college courses on a variety of topics including
  Peace Building Through Health\, and the Impact of AIDS on American cities
 .&nbsp\;
