DESCRIPTION:The Tashlich ceremony offers us a chance to symbolically cast o
 ur wrongdoings of the previous year into the water and begin the new year 
 with a fresh start. Bring some snacks\, a blanket\, and a frisbee (or othe
 r game of your choice) and stay for a family-friendly gathering in the par
 k following the ceremony. Registration is NOT required to attend\; all are
  welcome!\n\nMeet at Rock Creek Park - Picnic Grove 1 | View on Google Map
 s. Picnic Area #1 at Rock Creek Park is located near Peirce Mill near the 
 corner of Shoemaker and Spring of Freedom streets (3998 Spring of Freedom 
 St NW\, Washington\, DC 20008). See the Picnic Areas web page for an inter
 active location map.\n\n*Please do not bring bread or any other food item 
 to throw in the water. In trying to be environmentally responsible\, we wi
 ll use items from nature instead (i.e. small rocks\, sticks\, leaves).\n\n
 In case of inclement weather\, we will email the community by 9:00 a.m. on
  Sunday morning if we need to cancel the event. Sign up for our Friends of
