DESCRIPTION:Join us for Oneg at 6 p.m.\, then light candles with us\, join 
 in Kiddush\, and enjoy challah as we welcome Shabbat together in-person at
  Temple Micah or online. During this service\, Temple Micah member Kate Ki
 ggins will speak about&nbsp\;Sukkat Shalom's impact and ongoing work.\nAbo
 ut Refugee Shabbat\nHIAS’ Sixth Annual Refugee Shabbat is an invitation 
 for congregations\, organizations\, and individuals to express their solid
 arity with the global Jewish movement for refugee protection and welcome. 
 People seeking asylum are being turned away at borders around the world. T
 he number of forcibly displaced people has grown to over 110 million. The 
 growing impact of climate change exacerbates the effects of violence\, con
 flict\, and economic instability on already vulnerable populations. This i
 s a critical moment for all of us to reaffirm and redouble our support for
  refugees\, asylum seekers\, and the forcibly displaced\, and an opportuni
 ty to step back\, reflect\, and celebrate the work we have already done.\n
