Dr. Povar will describe the measures older individuals can take to anticipate health crises, minor or major. She will review specific preventive interventions recommended by Geriatric organizations, symptoms of stroke or heart attack and what to do in such instances, as well as preparation for and handling of less life-threatening, day-to-day minor emergencies.
Her role in this lecture is to review general measures and guidances. Dr. Povar wants to be clear that for individual medical advice, attendees should talk to their usual source of health care.
