Welcoming our new Executive Director, Beth Werlin

We are pleased to announce that Beth Werlin will be joining our Micah staff as our new executive director. Beth comes to us from the American Immigration Council, where she worked in various capacities for the last twenty years, starting as a staff attorney and rising to the position of executive director in 2016.

Our search committee, ably led by Jodi Enda, received applications from many highly qualified individuals. Beth was the enthusiastic, unanimous choice of the committee, which included Rabbi Esther Lederman, Micah board member Jennifer Kaplan and former board member Heather Moran. The committee and the senior staff were impressed by Beth’s intellect, her creativity and her management and leadership skills.

Moreover, we were moved by the strong role her Judaism has played in shaping her professional life. Her personal values clearly align with Micah’s vision. Read more about Beth here.

Beth will begin her new role for us on August 30. This gives her a full month to work alongside our current executive director, Rachel Gross, who will be leaving us at the end of September. We will thank Rachel at Shabbat services on Friday evening, September 24.

Please join us in welcoming Beth to Temple Micah.
