Micah House is a transitional residence for women in recovery from substance abuse, founded by Temple Micah members in 1989.
We maintain a close relationship with Micah House; every Spring we lace up our sneakers and hit the pavement for a “mini-walk” to raise money to support Micah House and we host a Shabbat service in the Fall.
Watch testimonials from former Micah House residents Syndi and Marsha.
Join us for the main Kick-Off Event at Temple Micah on Sunday, May 4. We will gather for Boker Tov with Machon Micah at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary, then begin our walk around 10 a.m.
Immediately following the walk, all are welcome to join our Machon Micah families in an end-of-year celebration, featuring an ice cream truck, a bounce house, and other fun activities! This family-friendly event is open to all.
Tickets are $36 per adult walker and $18 per youth (under 18) walker. 100% of your payment is tax-deductible. Please note: The walk will take place during Machon hours. Every student must be registered in order to participate in the walk.
Your support makes a difference!
If you aren’t able to join us for our kick-off event, you can participate virtually throughout the month of May!
Between now and May 31st, please:
