Temple Micah, a vibrant and creative Reform congregation of over 650 families in Washington, DC, is seeking an Office Coordinator. The Office Coordinator is a critical member of the administrative team and maintains the day-to-day operations of Temple Micah’s office. This work requires collaboration with all of the staff, as well as regular engagement with Temple members and visitors to the building. Due to the nature of this job, it is not eligible for remote or tele-work.

REPORTS TO:
Executive Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office Coordination and Calendaring Support (60%)
Manages office services and accounts, including phones, copiers, IT providers, and mail
Manages office supplies and equipment, including ordering and maintaining inventory
Purchases and maintains other supplies related to both programmatic and administrative needs
Coordinates with staff regarding visitors to building and welcomes members and visitors
Answers inquiries that come in through the general phone number and email
Coordinates with members and families regarding b’nai mitzvah logistics
Manages access to the entry and intercom systems
Maintains building and other office-wide calendars
Supports clergy and executive director with scheduling, including b’nai mitzvah- related calendaring
Works with lay leaders to schedule volunteer-led activities
Coordinates schedules for certain contract staff, including security guards and IT specialists
Audio/Video Coordination (20%)
Works with clergy to document technical production needs for services
Coordinates schedules for assistant technical producers
Provides weekly instructions and guidance to assistant technical producers
Administrative support (20%)
Provides administrative support, as assigned by the Executive Director
Provides administrative support for b’nai mitzvah program
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred 2-3 years of office support
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Experience working with volunteers and staff with a wide range of skills, communication styles, and interests
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office and Google Suites, and virtual technology platforms
Preferred experience with audio/visual technology and IT support.
Strong work ethic and integrity, and able to work independently with little supervision
Motivation, enthusiasm, willingness to learn
Strong sense of initiative and demonstrated ability to exercise agility
SALARY & BENEFITS:
The salary range for this job is $45,000-50,000, depending on experience

Assistant Technical Producer

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Temple Micah, a vibrant and creative Reform congregation of over 600 families in Washington, DC, is seeking to hire and train several Assistant Technical Producers. The Assistant Technical Producers work with the Technical Producer to produce a meaningful and communal online worship experience. This is a part-time position, with regular shifts available on Friday evenings (between 5:30 and 7:30pm) and Saturday mornings (between 9am and 12pm). Occasional shifts will be available for other online services, such as community events, holidays, and memorial services.
START DATE:
Training and start dates will be conducted on a rolling basis.
REPORTS TO:
Operations Associate
RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
Learn and practice the two primary roles involved in producing Temple Micah’s services: video/livestream management and Zoom room management.
Training will take place over the course of a few weeks and will include approximately three one-hour meetings and approximately three services, during which the assistants will shadow and then practice the production skills.
Agree to take on the assigned production role approximately two to three services each month (more or fewer services may be mutually agreed upon)
Review the technology instructions and service program in advance of the service
Log in at the specified time
If working remotely, the assistant must have a computer with strong internet connection and a recently updated version of Zoom.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
General experience using computers, managing online meetings and/or broadcast software
Experience with audio/visual technology or creating digital media
IT support experience is considered a plus
