November 2024
Dear Friends,
As we reflect on the past year, Temple Micah has strived to be a source of strength and comfort – a home – through challenging times.
Now we are preparing for a momentous event in the life of our congregation: the bittersweet retirement of our beloved Rabbi Zemel. Through it all, we take heart in Rabbi Zemel’s words in the Vine earlier this year: the values we live by do not and will not change.
Dignity, truth, hope, resilience, community — our values inform everything we do at Temple Micah. Whether through our worship, music, education, or our leadership, we seek to tackle the next challenge, the next change, together. We move from strength to strength.
We have so much to look forward to in the next chapter we’re writing—and we need your support to make it happen. As we continue to invest in our community, we have a $200,000 goal that we must meet or surpass. We are asking every member to give, at any amount, to help us meet this goal. Please give as generously as you can; each one of us can strengthen our community as we navigate change together.
We look forward to celebrating the upcoming year with you and moving from strength to strength.
Shalom,
Rielle Miller Gabriel, President
Roberta Aronson, Vice President
P.S. In recognition of Rabbi Zemel’s last year as Senior Rabbi at Temple Micah, all year-end campaign donors – regardless of amount – will be entered into a raffle for lunch with Rabbi Zemel! Anyone may opt out by selecting the opt-out box on the online donation form or by contacting the main office at info@templemicah.org.
