Join us for an expanded Yom Kippur afternoon service. Guided by the liturgy of the Torah service, Avodah, Yizkor, and Ne’ilah, the afternoon will be anchored by music and singing, both traditional and contemporary. Alongside familiar customs, we’ll also experiment with expressive and embodied ways of exploring and internalizing the themes of the season and the realities of our world.
Yizkor will begin between approximately 4:30 – 5:15 p.m.

Since 2000, Temple Micah has been the sole provider of new underwear for Friendship Place, the premier housing service provider for people experiencing houselessness in the DC region.
Every year on Yom Kippur, our Machon Micah students help us collect essential items for our neighbors.

All participants shall bring their own prayer book to services; we use Mishkan HaNefesh: Machzor for the Days of Awe. If you do not currently own a copy, please order Mishkan HaNefesh directly from CCAR prior to the service. An extremely limited number of “loaner” books will be available on a first come, first serve basis and availability is not guaranteed.
Livestream and online access is indicated for each service listed on the Schedule tab. Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre, and Yom Kippur morning and afternoon services will be livestreamed from the sanctuary at National United Methodist Church and will feature closed captioning.
A large-print siddur is available for in-person use upon request.
