Every fall for the last two decades, from Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur, the sixth grade class organizes our Underwear Drive, which provides a year’s worth of undergarments for our neighbors at Friendship Place. Friendship Place is the premier housing service provider for people experiencing houselessness in the DC region. Their mission is to empower people experiencing or at risk of houselessness to attain stable housing and rebuild their lives.
If you’re new to Temple Micah, you may wonder…underwear? Learn more about our partnership with Friendship Place: “It’s So Much More Than Underwear: An Interview with Friendship Place’s Chris Cannedy“.
Thank you to all who participated in this year’s Underwear Drive. Our drive provides a FULL YEAR of underwear to Friendship Place, the premier provider of housing services for people experiencing homelessness in the Washington DC region.
