Observe Israel’s 76th year of statehood at Temple Micah! We will watch “Image of Victory,” a short Israeli film, and then gather for a dinner featuring Middle Eastern cuisine, along with a discussion of the film that will be led by the filmmaker, Adi Mishnayot, who will be joining us via Zoom from Israel.

Shortly after Israeli troops entered Gaza in July 2014, Uri, an IDF soldier, was shot and wounded. His sister Adi documented his stay in hospital that summer. Amidst the procession of celebrity entertainers and army generals who visited Uri in an attempt to distract him and his family from the pain, a sense of futility and slight absurdity takes over.
