June is Pride month, and we’re ready to celebrate! Mark your calendar to join us at Temple Micah:
Spend the night celebrating Jewish culinary traditions and values by marking Pride Month with the collective baking of rainbow challah. Join us in community for a night of conversation, braiding, and baking! Please RSVP to let us know you can attend and bring a friend.
We’ll mark the occasion with a special Haftarah reading to celebrate Pride, followed by a celebratory kiddush.
1. Share a beloved LGBTQ+ book
What LGBTQ+ book has meant something to you? Stayed with you? Inspired you? We invite you to share a title you love, along with a few words about why. Selected recommendations will be featured on tables during our Pride Shabbat kiddush.
2. Share your story at Pride Shabbat!
We invite you to write and share a personal reflection connected to being LGBTQ+ and Jewish. Tell us about your gay Jewish wedding, a moment of belonging or becoming, an overlap you see between queerness and Judaism, or anything else you want us to know. Please keep reflections under 250 words.
