Undesign the Redline Exhibit Opens at Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library

New exhibit explores race-based exclusion in upper northwest DC

Undesign the Redline is not about the Metro; it’s an interactive exhibit that explores the history of race-based exclusion from DC neighborhoods. The exhibit explores the history of redlining — the explicit devaluation of residential areas based on race — in upper Northwest DC and helps us understand why inequities in housing and wealth persist.  How can we “undesign” these wrongs?

Visit the exhibit between April 11 – July 11 at Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library (3310 Connecticut Ave NW), or register to join us for Temple Micah Night on May 8.

Please note: parking is limited and public transportation is encouraged. This exhibit is suitable for middle-school aged children and older.
